She was the first wife and mother of the Rev. John Bullard b 1828 children. She died and then he married Matilda Morris. She raised all those children as if they were her own. The proof is on John Alexander Bullard's death certificate. His mother is listed as Julia Adeline Smith. Rev. John Bullard was a Primitive Baptist minister, he rode the circuit on horseback and horse and buggy in and around Georgia. He was affiliated with the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where Julia Adeline Smith Bullard was buried. I cannot find my old notes from years ago. Family members shared what he had told them. John A. Bullard shared with them his mother died and then the fire in Atlanta from the Civil War occurred. HIs father remarried not long after her death and they left Georgia and moved to Blount County, Alabama. Someone wrote that his new wife Matilda Morris Bullard was a kind loving Christian lady. She must have been she raised all his children as if they were her own. Rev. John Bullard was my gg grandfather, John Alexander Bullard called Johnny, was my g grandfather and William Jeff Bullard was my grandfather who died before I was born. I hope I have honored my grand parents by sharing this small glimpse of their lives so long ago. There are very few of the old Bullard line left. Some of the Bullards were ministers, farmers and blacksmiths and many descendant's on down the line have served in the Armed Forces to honor our country.
