ANDERSON, DARLENE V. - of Powell went home September 27, 2011. A longtime member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, she loved life, loved her family, loved her church family, and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed both, vegetable and flower gardening side by side with her soul mate and husband, Edd Anderson. Other hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, fishing, and Atlanta Braves baseball. She will best be remembered for her sweet, kind, loving nature, her love for her family, and her devout walk with The Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Clayton Wells. Survived by her husband of seventy years, Edward K. Anderson; two children, Carolyn Shular (Lynn), and Jerry Anderson (Lynn) both of Powell; four grandchildren, Patty Lankford (Chuck), Cheryl Shular, Kenny Anderson, and Allen Russell (Tiffany); and two great-grandchildren, Whitney Lankford and Nicholas Lankford. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Maston Jackson and Rev. David McGill officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Bells Campground Cemetery for 10:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. www.mynattfh.com.
