Georgia "Nathalie" Dawes Amey, former Yale resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Pueblo, CO at the age of 97 years. She was the last of fifteen children in her family.

The daughter of the late William Esley Dawes and Martha Ann Wells Dawes, Nathalie was born on December 3, 1913 in Yale, OK, where she was also raised and educated.

Nathalie was united in marriage to Virgil Amey on October 30, 1932 in Cushing and to this union five children, Joe, Eldon, Janis, Buddy and Lindol were born.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she enjoyed playing the organ. Nathalie also enjoyed painting and writing poetry.

Survivors include her son, Lindol Gene Amey and his wife Ruth Ann of Beulah, CO; four grandchildren, Gregory DeWayne Amey, DaNeal Ray Amey, Kristy Michele Amey Durham and Teri Lyn Cole Soule; eleven great-grandchildren, Tiffany Ann Amey Tillman, Jonathan Tyler Amey, Stephanie Michele Soule, Erica Lynette Weaver, Steven Anthony Soule, Brandon, Dustin, Seth, Hannah and Emmaly; four great-great-grandchildren, Melody DaNae Soule, Jerico Aiden Tillman, Ace DaNeal Tillman and Shaylin Marie Risland and other friends and relatives, including Karen Lynn Cole Amey and Trent Wade Tillman.

In addition to her husband and parents, Nathalie was preceded in death by four children, Joe Laverd Amey, Eldon DeWayne Amey, Janis Arleene Amey Cole and Buddy Keith Amey; fourteen brothers and sisters, brothers, Walter E. Dawes, Vernon L. Dawes, Luther Esley Dawes, James L. Dawes, Clarence Allen Dawes, William Cullen Dawes, Paul Chancy Dawes and Guy Herman Dawes and sisters, Lutte Ann Dawes Duncan, Nellie May Dawes Miller, Deval Opal Dawes Knight Lewis, Waunita Aleene Dawes Butcher, Lela Marie Dawes Harris Penney and Wauletta Irene Dawes.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Assembly of God Church in Yale with Pastor Aaron Cole officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, starting Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in the Ingalls Cemetery.
