Ten years ago I went to the pound after Sylvestor (The Good Boy) died and I picked out the scrawniest, little cat with the LOUDEST voice of any cat in there. He had respiratory problems but we saved him.

Last April I noticed that he was losing weight and we brought him into the vet. He died today at 5:50 pm on October 18, 2011. I have never lost a cat before age 15 or 16 so this was a real shock. He had liver disease/cancer. His numbers and liver enzyme numbers were sky high. In the 2000 range six months ago. We were giving him medicine daily. He did very well and then the past two days I noticed he was hiding under the office bed more than usual. (I thought it was because he was avoiding me because I give him his medicine.) When I found him, he was comatose and I took him to the vet and they put him down but I left the building. Normally I stay for that last action but the vet told me to go as he was comatose.

He was PERSONALITY PLUS and the most curious cat I have ever had. They named him at the pound, "The Mouse that Roared." He was the bully of the neighborhood. He had such a spark about him. He had a fantastic life and everyday for him was Disneyland (minus his last day, of course.) The last six months he wasn't his usual self but he was holding his own and still eating everyday and moving and groving. He lived to go out front and he would just laser beam the cat across the street named "Smudge." On Sunday he crossed the street and was exploring and got to see Smudge on Saturday for over an hour, so I am quite happy about that.

Jeff is taking it very hard. They were best friends and Babyboy would greet Jeff everyday when he would walk in the house almost as if he were a dog jumping out of his skin. I never got that royal treatment from Babyboy as he was totally in love with Jeff. BabyBoy just tolerated me and treated me as one would treat an "Aunt Martha" that he was forced to be nice to. He was absolutley smitten by Jeff. BabyBoy will be a hard act to follow.
