Indian Wars Medal of Honor recipient. Served as a First Sergeant, in Company C, 8th U.S. Cavalry. On July 8th to 11th, 1873, he performed stilled service duties in action against hostile Indians near Fort Selden, New Mexico Territory. His Medal was issued on August 12, 1875.
