Singer. In the beginning of her career, during the 1920s, she worked with famed Swedish entertainer Thor Modéen and the great Revue producer, Ernst Rolf, among others. But her major breakthrough was in ”Cirkusrevyn” 1928, when singing ”Köp rosor” (Buy roses). Her record debut was in 1929, and throughout the 1930s she made 180 records on the Columbia label. Her complete number of records is 358. In 1940 she changed record company, and started working with Sonora. Her greatest hit ever was then released: ”Min Soldat” (My soldier), which became a Swedish answer to Vera Lynn´s ”We´ll meet again”. During World War II she was engaged as a field artist for the Swedish soldiers. In July 1946 she was found dead in her home. She had an engagement in Karlstad that same evening. Her suitcase was packed. Her train ticket was found on the hall table. On a hanger was her newly-ironed travelling suit. Instead of travelling, she went out in her kitchen and put the gas on. ;
