Dorothy Filos, 87, of San Luis Obispo died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1995, at her residence after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church on Daly Street in San Luis Obispo.
Mrs. Filos was born April 17, 1908, in San Luis Obispo to Charles and Mary Walter, natives of Switzerland. She was a member of the Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. She also held memberships with the Soroptomists, United Volunteer Service, Young Ladies Institute, Monday Club, and the San Luis Obispo Cattlewomen. She was active in the ranching and cattle business with her husband for many years.
She is survived by two nephews, Don Walter of San Luis Obispo and Morris Richina of Coarsegold; three nieces, Shirley Malony and Diane Miller, both of San Luis Obispo and Jeanne Walter of Bishop; and numberous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Filos, in 1978; her sister, Alice Richina; three brothers, Elmer, Charles, and Edwin Walter; and her niece, Eleanor Richina Jolly.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the Nativity Church of San Luis Obispo.
