A writer for stage, tv and film, Robert Thom is best known for offbeat, sometimes campy plots, including the screenplay for "Wild In the Streets" (1968) which has become a "cult classic." Other films include "Bloody Mama," "All the Fine Young Cannibals," and "Angel Angel Down We Go," which he also directed.

Thom had a circle of celebrity friends with whom he also sometimes worked, including Roddy McDowall and Shelley Winters. He is quoted in biographies of Montgomery Clift with regard to their friendship. Thom was married first to Joan Zell and subsequently to actresses Janice Rule and Millie Perkins. (Bio by Mark Hale)
