Della Mae Davidson married Arthur C. King on October 5, 1901 in Indiana. She was known as Mae by her friends and family. Mae & Arthur had one child, Richard. They, also, fostered Arthur's niece, Mary Belle Skinner when Mary was about 2 1/2 (around 1923) until Mary went to college & got married.
Arthur & Mae had a pretty little farm in Jefferson Twp. (Tipton Co.), IN - raising small amounts of live stock as well as grain and vegetables.
Mae was a kind, gentle, soft-spoken woman. I have fond memories of my visits to their farm while growing up.
After their son, Richard, died, both Arthur's and Mae's health quickly deteriorated. Their ex-daughter-in-law, Carol (Richard's ex-wife) took care of them in Florida (where she and her son, Tommy, were living) until Mae & Arthur passed away.
Arthur, Mae, and their son, Richard, are buried on the same lot in the Kempton Cemetery.
