Abbigail Grant Coker, 96, of Jacksboro, died Saturday at her home.
She was the widow of the late John Henry Coker and a daughter of John Grant, former tax assessor of Campbell County.
She was one of the early school teachers of Campbell County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Caryville.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Texas Coker Hatmaker of Caryville, Mrs. Edith Coker Keck of Knoxville, and Mrs. Mary Coker Miller Massilion, Ohio; her sons, Chester C. Coker, Ulysses B. Coker, of Jacksboro, and Eugene Coker of Knoxville; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mrs. Nell Miller, Mrs. Roxie High of Ohio; and her brother, Roscoe Grant of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Jacksboro by the Rev. Larry Caylor. Grandsons were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Cross Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
