Professional Boxer. He was a super flyweight boxer whose professional fighting record was 25 Wins and 1 loss, with 14 of those wins coming by way of knockout. In a June 22, 2002 boxing match with Mexican fighter Fernando Montiel in Las Vegas, Nevada, he fought into the 6th round, when he was declared the loser by technical knockout. However, during the match he suffered a brain injury that went undetected. Two days later, on June 24, 2002, while preparing to return to Panama, he collapsed in his hotel room, and died in the hospital a few hours later.
