Earl H. Addison, 65, president and founder of Hydrosol, Inc., a manufacturer of aerosol specialties, died Sunday at Community Memorial Hospital in La Grange. Addison, of 7540 Prescott, La Grange, founded the Hydrosol Co., 3501 Cicero Av., Cicero, 29 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Thelma; sons, Mark and Michael; and 8 grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.
Hydrosol Inc. opened a small facility in 1946 in Cicero, Illinois to manufacture paints. The company began to produce aerosol products in 1966 and moved the aerosol production to a newly constructed 65,000 square foot plant in Bridgeview, Illinois in 1973. Major facility expansions in 1983 and 1988 increased the facility to its current size of over 250,000 square feet. The business was sold to Bridgeview Aerosol in 2006 and Chicago Aerosol subsequently purchased all of the assets of the company in February of 2011.
