Scientist, Author. A professor at Bologna University and director of the Institute of Entomology, he is considered by many as one of the greatest ecologists. He was also the author of numerous novels and plays as "The Tentations of Professor Faust", which in 1975 won the Prix Pirandello literature award. In television, he successfully conducted the program "In The Animal Kingdom".
