Montenegrin Royalty. Born the only child of Danilo II Petrovic-Njegoš, Prince of Montenegro and Darinka Kvekich. Her father succeeded to the title of Prince Danilo II of Montenegro in 1851 secularizing his office for the first time. His daughter was born eight years later. Danilo was assassinated the following year, and Olga's cousin, Nicholas I, succeeded. She never held the throne, and died at age 37.
