Panama President. He studied in the School of the Salle where he earned his bachelor degree. He was delegated to the National Assembly and leader of the Liberal Party. Minister of Salubrity and Public Works. On November 20, 1949, he assumed the first magistrature after the resignation of Daniel Chanis, position that occupied hardly during 4 days. Colonel Jose Antonio Remón went candidate to the presidency in 1952 against his cousin. In 1960, constitutional President was chosen. In the last years of his mandate he had to face the Events in January, that forced it to make the historical decision to break diplomatic relations with the United States.
