Anson H. Dafoe, 85, retired Fremont township farmer, died Sunday in the Kelly Convalescent Home, Croswell.
Born May 6, 1877, in Fremont township, he was a son of Heil and Mary Dafoe.
Mr. Dafoe married Miss Salome Swartz in 1902 in Brown City.
She died three years ago.
He farmed 40 years in Fremont township, then lived in Brown City for 15 years before coming to Croswell two years ago.
Mr. Dafoe is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Wheaton, Lexington; Mrs. Ruth Hall, Croswell, and Mrs. Joy Cameron, Yale; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Two sons and a daughter preceded him in death.
Services were held Wednesday from Pomeroy Funeral Home in Croswell. The Rev. Bruce Pearson, district superintendent of the United Missionary Church and former Brown City pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Fremont township cemetery
