James Harvey Atchison was born on February 13, 1953 in Agua Dilla, Puerto Rico to Thomas and Kathleen (Harrington) Atchison. He married Mary Ann Rosenthal on May 27, 1972 in San Angelo, Texas. He was a brick mason who built many buildings throughout West Texas. He shared stories of his family with any strangers he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Tom and Matthew Atchison. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Atchison of San Angelo; daughter, Crystal Halfmann and husband, Patrick of Ft. Worth; son, Nolan Atchison and wife, Jennifer of San Angelo; brothers; John Atchison of San Angelo, Tim Atchison and wife, Iris of Canyon, TX; grandchildren; Damia and Meira Halfmann of Ft. Worth and Kristian, Zachary, Nicholas, Wyatt and Elizabeth Atchison, all of San Angelo, numerous nieces and nephews.
