SPARTANBURG, SC-- Clay Callas George, 45, of 571 Thomas Street, died Sunday, September 5, 2004, in Sevierville,TN. Born December 28, 1958, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Emma Roberts George of Spartanburg, and the late George Glover George, Sr. He was a supervisor with Apex Chemical Company and attended Vineyard Church of God. He was an accomplished musician and vocalist with the Stillhouse Band and also played for a number of local charities.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Heather Rene George of Blacksburg; three sisters, Nina Strange and her husband Bobby of Cooley Springs,
Susan Sullivan and her husband Perry of Spartanburg, and Jackie Littlefield and her husband Charles of Landrum; a brother, George Glover George, Jr. of Spartanburg; and a special friend, DEANA OSMENT.

Visitation will be 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roger Allison. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home.
