Mrs. Nita Brown Bigelow was born December 18, 1927 in Rankin County to Hazel Moore and Robert M. Morgan. She attended Mississippi College and was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T), retiring in 1985. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church on the Parkway in Ridgeland, MS.
She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Claiborne H. Brown. She is survived by her husband, Harry L. Bigelow; son Michael Brown and his wife Carol of Madison, MS; Daughters Linda Carlan of Atlanta, GA and Susan Awana and her husband Kalei of Las Vegas, NV; son Steve Bigelow and his wife Brenda of Seneca, SC; Grandchildren Amy Bailey and her husband Matt, David Brown, Jim Bigelow and his wife Liz, Julie Goode and her husband Matt; Mary Pettit and her husband Jackson; Great grandsons Alden and Jack Bailey and Scott Bigelow; Sisters Bobbye Anderson of St. George, Utah; Carolyn Johns and husband Bob of Pearl, MS; Patricia May of Senatobia, MS; Brother C.O. (Sonny) Morgan of Olive Branch, MS.
Visitation will be at from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19. The funeral at 2:00 p.m. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Thursday, September 20, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Internment will be in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
