Onva Marie Allen, 79, of Stuarts Draft, passed away peacefully at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Daughter of the late Estel Dow Huffman and Myrtle Roxie Houchens Huffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Harry Huffman.

Onva was a person of many talents and interests. She was a great singer who also loved to play the guitar. Onva loved her Lord and family, had a terrific sense of humor, enjoyed quilting, and especially loved helping other people. She worked for many years as a secretary for Lane High School and then Charlottesville High School. After her retirement, she enjoyed visiting with people in nursing homes. She was also a long-time member of Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church.

Onva is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald L. Allen, her children, David L. Allen and Dreama Thompson. Also surviving her are three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, a stepbrother, two half-brothers, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service was held at Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church.
