Orpha was the third daughter born to Silas & Emma Frances Sargent Allison. She never married.

Orpha Allison was born near Sylvia, Kansas, Oct 18, 1882 and departed this life at Grace Hospital at Hutchinson, Kansas, Jan 22, 1936, age 53 years, 3 months and 4 days.

While away at school she united with the Congregational church and held to that faith until death.

Orpha taught two terms of school and served as bookkeeper at the Norwood store in Sylvia for many years. Of later years she served in the home as a true and faithful daughter from which she will be sadly missed.

Her father passed away in 1917; her eldest sister, Mrs. Flora Vance, in 1934.

She leaves to mourn her passing her aged mother; six sisters; Mrs. Ollie Seward of Great Bend, Mrs. Ellen Schwein of Ulysses, Mrs. June Wheeler of Anthony, Mrs. Laura Jorgensen of Hutchinson, Mrs. Alpha Whittaker and Miss Elsie Allison of Sylvia; also 1 brother Lloyd Allison of Sylvia and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted by Reb. W. B. Stevens from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and buial will be in the Sylvia Cemetery.
