William "Pete" Jacobs was born January 17, 1923 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. Pete was Catholic, and his heritage was German. On May 6, 1950 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky, Pete married Ida Mae Stauber Jacobs, and they had three children: Christine Marie Jacobs Grober, Cynthia Ann Jacobs Kelly, and William "Pete" Jacobs, Jr. Pete died at age 58 on June 11, 1981 and is buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kenton County, Kentucky, near his wife.
