Phillip "Clark" Gambell, 63, of Decker, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at home. He was born July 11, 1941 in Dyersburg, Dyer County, Tennessee, the son of Estell Ezell and Kathryn (Hughes) Gambell. "Clark" Gambell attended Almont High School. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Hydraulic Tubing in Almont as a painter/packer for years until he was forced to retire due to health problems. Gambell is survived by a sister, Sharon (Robert) Stewart of Deford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and good friends Joann and Dale Eagle. He was preceded in death by his parents; her sister and brother in law, Beverley and Robert Roy Sanday, two nephews: Mark Wayne, Boyd Craig, and great nephew, Brian Craig Sanday [AKA Meadows]; a niece, Cynthia Stewart; and an aunt and uncle, George and Gladys Miller. A private family graveside service will be held in the spring. Cremains will be interred in the Bruce and Armada Cemetery, Armada. Military honors will be under the direction of the U.S. Army. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund and mailed or dropped off to Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Arrangements were made by Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City.
