She graduated from Huntington North High School in 1978, and later from Huntington College where she earned a History Degree. She worked at Huntington City Library in the Indiana Room. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, Indiana. She was a 25-year member of Sigma Phi Gamma, Huntington. Survivors include: Parents: 1 brother: David L. (Kelli) Allen, Huntington. 2 sisters: Mrs. Kevin (Barbara) Rupley, Huntington and Janice Smith Walls, Ashland, Kentucky.
