Francizka is Polish for Frances. She was called Frances by her family. Frances is the daughter of Wojciech (George) and Maryanna (nee Wojciechowski) Maciejewski. She grew up at 84 Cable Street, Buffalo, New York with her siblings: Teddy, Chester, Mary, Johnny, Frankie, Hattie, Pearl and Kay in a neighborhood known as 'Kaisertown'.

Frances never married and had no children. She lived her entire life at 84 Cable Street until her Father died and the house had to be sold.

Frances went to a convent in Buffalo to become a nun. She was turned down by the nuns because she was thin and looked sickly. Frances would have made a wonderful nun, and she was never sick a day in her life. She was a very pious, Christian woman. Frances was very clean, hard working with always a kind word and helping hand.

Frances visited St. Stanislaus Cemetery by bus weekly attending to the family graves.

Frances died on February 1, 1999 of old age at the age of 94. She is buried with her Mother and Father.

Rest in Heavenly Peace.
