Recording Artist/Radio Personality. Born as Robert M. Kinney, he is best known throughout the radio and music industry as "Barefoot Bob". He was a walking encyclopedia on the history of country western music and artists. He was a decorated World War II veteran receiving the Purple Heart as well as the Silver and Bronze Star medals. He retired from the Greater Ozark Empire Broadcasting Company (KTTS AM&FM, Springfield, Missouri). In the 1960's, he recorded on the Barefoot and Mur-E-Cord record labels. Barefoot's recordings include, "The Girls I Left Behind" and "The Fool Who Walked Away".
