Roy Marvin was born on a ranch in Montana. He loved the outdoors. During WW2 when on leave, he met Margaret the local school teacher, a boarder at his ranch as most of the rooms were empty with the Selway boys at that war. One morning he offered her a lift to school so she agreed. After breakfast she went out to find Roy seated on a horse telling her to get on. So, she got on. Soon they were married. He had a great sense of humor which he passed on to their 8 children. He died in 1968 when their youngest child was 6.
