Maria Pattison, 39, ran Dongan Hills eatery.
Maria T. Vasi Pattison, 39, of Concord, died Thursday in Staten Island Hospital after an apparent heart attack.
Born in Sicily, she came to the Bronx in 1953. In 1967, Mrs. Pattison moved to Dongan Hills, and in 1971 she moved to Concord.
She had been the propietor of the R&M Hero Shop at 1456 Richmond Road in Dongan Hills for the last five years and had been known by her customers for making the best crumbcake on Staten Island, according to her husband, Richard Pattison, who also helped run the establishment.
Mrs. Pattison was a parishioner of St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Richard A. Jr.; two daughters, Lora and Maria Pattison; her mother, Maria Vasi; two brothers, Carmelo (Danny) and Giuseppe (Joseph) Vasi, and two sisters, Anna Varotta and Marianna (Maryann) Ferraro.
The funeral will be Monday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
