Michael D. Livingston, 47, died suddenly on March 22, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. He was born in Caro, MI on January 11, 1968 and was the son of David D. Livingston and Susan Stewart Livingston. He was a 1986 graduate of Holly High School in Holly, MI where he enjoyed drama class, band class, and being in the Bronchos Marching Band. Jesus gave him a gift of music and he excelled on many instruments, especially his much loved saxophone. Michael accepted Jesus as his Savior and friend and Heaven's symphony will be richer for his presence! Heaven's gain, sadly, is our loss...
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Susan Livingston of Holly; his father, David Livingston and wife, Barbara of Zepher Hills, FL; his much loved sister and brother in law, Stacy & Scott Ward of Holly; his wondrous niece Brittany Paulin of Holly, and her SO Andrew Krantz of Holly. His dog friends who adored him: Ella, Penelope, Olive & Violet. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry & Evelyn Stewart of Caro, MI; his paternal grandparents, Lewis & Laura Livingston of Sebewaing, MI, uncle Dale Livingston of Sebewaing and Lucille Olsowy of Cass City, MI and infant twin brothers Allen Patrick & Aaron Edward Livingston.
At his request, cremation has taken place with Dryer Funeral Home in Holly, MI. The family invites you to attend a memorial evening to celebrate his Life with stories, memories, and pictures of our beloved son, brother, and uncle at Dryer Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26 from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Through Eversight Michigan, Mike was able to give to gift of sight to a man from Grosse Ile, and a woman in Westland.

Following are some quotes left about Michael copied from the funeral homes tribute page.

" Much like Robert, I had the pleasure of knowing Mike (and his dad) from my years in Scouting. He was a great friend and someone that I truly enjoyed getting to know outside of Scouting as well. I remember one time during high school when Mike brought his saxophone over to my house at my request, as we were trying to do a Men At Work song from start to finish without any sheet music (with me on a Casio keyboard). That was a train wreck for both of us...but fun nonetheless. I also remember the fun road trip that Mike, Robert, my brother and myself enjoyed (again, around or just after high school) which took us up the eastern Michigan lakeshore, onwards to the U.P. to Tahquamenon Falls, and back down the western lakeshore to Sleeping Bear Dunes before heading back home. We were fortunate to make it home in one piece, as I believe we just about drove the rental car we had into the ground. "
"I worked with Mike for 3 years. He always was the go-to guy, but despite any pressure or stress he could still laugh at anything. I'll always remember how his laugh could literally fill a room. We've lost not only a good friend but a role model as well."
"Michael, words cannot describe how heart broken I am that you're gone. Your presence will never be forgotten. You made everyone feel like they were special. You were the sweetest grumpy man I have ever met. Your intelligence and wit made our jobs so much easier. I know you are in God's loving arms. I know that heaven is a much better place because you're in it. Rest In peace my friend. Love and miss you always!"
"I still can't believe that he is gone. I miss my friend and am truly heartbroken. I loved that big grumpy teddy bear. For 10 years, he put up with my last minute, rush, obnoxious projects. But he ALWAYS got it done, and done right, and we always had a good laugh together. I hope he knew how much I truly appreciated him. He "saved" the day for me on so many occassions, I cannot even count. He was such a great guy with a great big heart. Rest in the arms of Jesus now "Mr. Speaking."
" I am so sorry to hear of his passing! Mike was always regarded as a great guy! I enjoyed singing with him, our time in the band and in many different dramas and musicals - especially Guys and Dolls (Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit). His laugh was infectious...and he will be missed!"
"The news just broke my heart but God has other plans for Mike. Eating a piece of Little Ceasers pizza with no pizza sauce...... just cheese, in your honor Mike. Your earthly battle is done and you can rest peacefully now. My God ease your family's pain and leave only happy memories"
"I had the pleasure of knowing Michael for the past 12 years. Mike was a good friend and a wonderful person. He had a personality that made everyone smile. We would talk about family on occasion and he was very proud to talk about all of you. It was very clear how much he loved his family. I can tell you that he was loved by all of his work family and will be missed dearly. I know there is a huge hole in your hearts and words really can't fill that space but knowing that Mike was so loved by all will help you all to stay strong for each other and help you through this very difficult time."
"So very sorry to hear about Mike, so many memories, all good from the Scouting days. Know that you are all in my prayers."
" mike had a strong, beautiful voice in our high school choir and was a terrific lead in our musical 'guys and dolls' for our senior year. i loved playing sarah brown to his opposite sky masterson and remember our little kiss and our musical duets while holding hands. you were always a gentlemen with awesome presences and timeless style. mike, you will be missed. rest in peace, my friend " Michael was the sweetest, kindest, and most helpful co-worker - not to mention funniest as well. I loved his humor! He was such a professional on the job and I always knew when I gave him a project, it was done right, and prompt, and always with a bit of humor that brightened my day. And even though Michael and I haven't worked together in a year, I feel his loss as if I saw him yesterday. Michael you are missed, but I know you are in God's loving arms now. Rest in Peace my friend"
"Michael brought so much fun to the work place. It will not be the same here. I loved to banter with him and could always count on him to make me laugh. Such a great sense of humor. He will be missed by so many. loved that guy."
