Annie was my great-great-aunt. She was one of six siblings. Her sister was my great-grandmother Alice, and her brothers were Frank, Joe, Hugh, and George. In January of 1910, she and her siblings became half-orphans when their father Hugo was killed when a train struck his delivery truck. Although things were hard after that, her mother and siblings managed to get along with the help of their relatives and friends.
