Our Gramma White, known as "May" to her friends, was the daughter of Samuel Joseph Brisbine (1870–1942) and Anna Elizabeth Peterson (1879–1956). She first married William Brent in about 1919 and they divorced in about 1928. Of this union was born one child, Molly Brent.
May married Edwin White February 27, 1932 and was widowed in 1954. During her last years she was often at our home in Salinas. She could not have been a kinder, or sweeter Gramma.
