Killed in Action, at the Battle of Antietam, by friendly fire. Pvt. Hubbard was first buried on the William Roulette farm, near Sharpsburg, Washington County, Maryland next to Roulette's corncrib, arrangements were made through William Roulette to return remainds home, 31 December 1862, Company B. 14th Connecticut Infantry.
