A beautiful woman, daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend! Lori returned home to the Lord after a long and courageous battle against breast cancer.

Lori blogged a lot, it was her way of processing what she was experiencing and letting her family and friends know, "I got this!" Lori was very poetic and refreshingly honest in her writings. When she was told that she had 3 to 7 months to live, she blogged the following, which was one of her very last posts:

"The sky is going to fall on me, shatter me into a million pieces and send them in a million different directions. I am going to be busy cramming as much fun, life, and love into my life as I can for these next three months. You are going to be finding little pieces of me years from now, and hopefully they will make you smile. I will be like that stupid little piece of glitter that does not really go away. You just move it to a spot where you think it's gone because you cannot see it, but I am still really there and I will pop up another day."

She is gone far too soon for those who were lucky enough to have known her and loved her. She was such a special person, so full of light and love! Rest in heavenly peace, Lori.

Lori is the granddaughter of Rita Avina Ramirez
