The only child of Corbin Alton Smith and Elsie Jane Warren. He married Jean Ward, but the marriage ultimately ended in divorce. Father of Shannon Leigh Smith Adcock.
He was a graduate of Auburn University and a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He was a teacher in the Lawrence and Morgan County School System.
My father passed away when I was two years old. I don't remember him and have always felt a loss for never having known him. All the "what ifs" and "whys" have always filled my head. I wish I had known him so that I could write a much better biography on him. I do know that he loved me very much.
I don't live anywhere near his grave and, thanks to Find A Grave, I am able to visit often and leave flowers and notes for him. It helps me to feel a little "closer" to him. Thank you to all of those individuals at Find A Grave that make this website such a wonderful success.
