Laymond Campbell was born in Bruner, Christian County, Missouri to Charles N. and Lydia Campbell
They were a very loving family and liked to play music and sing when they got together. Laymond played the fiddle. He was always known by the nickname "Toe." In 1937 he married Flossie Stewart of Oklahoma. They lived in Carthage, Missouri for a few years and had two children, Earl and Mary, then they moved to Bethany, Oklahoma in 1943. He worked for Meadow Gold Dairy when he died in an automobile accident in 1946 leaving his widow and two children. He was also survived by his parents and five siblings, Zella Loveland and husband Frank, Carl Campbell and wife Wilda, Roy "T" Campbell and wife Dorthia, Blond Campbell and wife Helen and Charlene Cave and husband Roscoe; father-in-law and mother-law, Earl and Mary Stewart, brothers-in-law, Manford Stewart and wife Evy Lois and Ira stewart and wife Laveita. Neices, nephews and cousins. His body was returned to Missouri to be buried in Pembina Cemetery, near his old homeplace.
