HOMER GOING KILLED
IN AUTO ACCIDENT
NEAR PARAGOULD

Homer A. Going, 48, well known resident of Route One, near Pocahontas, was almost instantly killed about 9:30 last night when the automobile in which he was riding was in collision with a truck on Highway 25, a few miles west of Paragould. W. J. Russell of Walnut Ridge, state revenue officer and former Pocahontas marshal, was riding in the car with Going and was seriously injured, according to reports. Mr. Going's neck was broken and other injuries were sustained. It was reported that two women companions from Walnut Ridge were critically injured.

The automobile in which the four were riding is reported to have struck a truck driven by Sam Browning, a candy salesman of Malden, Missouri. Mr. Browning and four passengers in his truck are said to be injured severely.

Mr. Going was a son of Mrs. C. A. Going, who makes her home in Anderson, Indiana, and the late C. A. Going of Pocahontas. He was born and reared here and had spent practically all of his life in and near Pocahontas.

He is survived by his wife, Charline Holmes, four children, his mother, a brother, Lambert William Going of Anderson, and three sisters, Edna Ethyl Going Amos of Pocahontas, Lucy Elizabeth Going Lane of Elm Store and Alyus Going Wisner of Florida.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Alonzo Stubblefield Going.
