OBIT
MRS. GEORGIA LEE COX GOING -- aged 66, of Stigler, OK, formerly of North Little Rock, AR, widow of Duel Glen Going, died Friday. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors are a son, Duel Going Jr of Cabot, AR; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Kelso of Mt. Pleasant, UT, Mrs. Helen Wilson of Jacksonport, AR, Mrs. Jackie Tolbert of Jacksonville, AR, Ms. Shirley Nuss of North Little Rock, AR and Ms. Ruth Coffey of England, AR; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Ozment of North Little Rock, AR and Mrs. Johnnie Brown of Jonesboro, AR; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by North Little Rock Funeral Home with interment in Rest Hills Memorial Cemetery.(end)

Georgia was the first child of John Avery and Lucinda Evaline Widner Cox. She was a twin with Jessie Mae Cox White, who preceded her in death. She married Duel Glen Going Jan 25 1931 in Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas and they had six children, two of which are also taking their rest Betty Jane Going Kelso and Helen Yvonne Going Wilson.

Georgia had cancer of the liver and lived only 2 weeks after the discovery. The doctors were amazed at how long she lived with the pain of the disease with aspirin being her only medication. My Mother was a very strong lady in more ways than I can count. Besides her twin sister Jessie, going to their rest prior to her was a sister who lived 4 days Mary Aliceson Cox and a brother who lived 3 days Paul Allen Cox.

Since Georgia went to her rest she has been joined by 4 of her grandchildren: Donna Yvonne Kelso, Cheryl Ann Kelso Clark, Janice Elaine Kelso Olson and Joel Tavis Coffey; and also 2 sisters Johnnie Juanita Cox Brown and Dixie Geneva Cox Ozment. Georgia Lee Cox Going is my mother.

HER JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN.
'Don't think of her as gone away -
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets -
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living -
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost -
and she is loved so much.
