Wielkopolskie, Poland
Death: Dec. 7, 1955

Julia Schwabe came to the USA with her husband John and sons John Jr, Joseph and August in March 1892. They came to Wisconsin settling first in Milwaukee and then moving to Marathon County WI.

Julia had given birth to 12 children, 10 of whom survived to adulthood - Joseph, Anton, Leo, Paul, Albert, Peter, Wenzel, Anna, Steven and Rose. John Jr, the oldest sibling was Julia's stepson (child of John Sr and his 1st wife Augustyna Kairkowski). August died when he was just 2 years old and another child, Martha, died when she was 11 months old.

John Sr died in 1906 while cutting down a tree, Julia and the family continued to farm until 1917 when the sons started to emigrate to Milwaukee. John Jr, Anton, Leo, Paul and Albert were the first to move. Julia and the rest of the family moved to Milwaukee circa 1919. Joseph moved to Milwaukee but stayed only 2 years before moving back to the farm.

Julia never remarried and raised the children by herself. She died in 1955 at the age of 89; she was preceded in death by husband John and sons John Jr, Joseph, August and daughter Martha
