Daniel Davis was born in Williamsport, the son of the late George Benjamin and Nina Pluma Cunningham Davis. He had been retired from Manbeck Bread Co. since 1973. He was a member of the Williamsport Assemblies of God, and was a former Scout Master with Troop No. 38 Boy Scouts of America at the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. Davis was always cleaning and doing lawn work. Wilda Davis would say that she didn't mind that her husband cleaned more than she did because it gave him something to do. They were described as wonderful neighbors by those that lived near them. Camping was an activity the couple often enjoyed. Davis was murdered in his home along with his wife on Valentine's Day 1994.
