Daughter of William Pinkney and Leer E. Plemons Harper, in 1892 she married Edd Hill who died in 1896 and is buried in Mountaintown Baptist Cemetery in Ellijay Known as Sallie, she gave birth to two children and had one surviving daughter, Gertrude, who suffered a serious head injury as a young child and lived her life in the Georgia State Hospital. Sallie raised her nephew Delmer, living with her parents and staying to her death. She is remembered as a very sweet and loving person.
