Roy Junior Kimbrell of Shallowater departed this life on April 5, 2008 at the age of 77 years. He was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Clovis, N.M., to Luther Roy and Hattie Mae (Young) Kimbrell. Roy married his wife Frances Wood on April 6, 1954 in Abilene. Mr. Kimbrell was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea. Roy was a member 12th Street Church of Christ of Shallowater.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances; six daughters, Helen Kimbrell of Shallowater, Angie Wright of Mineral Wells, Becky Hudman of Merkel, Julie Marcotte of Hawaii, Debra Harris of San Angelo, and Elora Jan of Haltom; one son, Dustin Roy Kimbrell of Shallowater; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Jerry Kimbrell of Shallowater and of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Roy and Hattie Mae Kimbrell.
Formal visitation will be held from 5 -7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at White Funeral Home in Idalou. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Idalou Cemetery, with Don Wood officiating.
Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home in Idalou.
