Ed Singleton was born on Crooked Creek Rockcastle Co., Ky. to Squire & Laura Mullins Singleton. On Christmas Day 1909 he married Sarah B. Drew in Wildie, Ky. Of their ten children all but 2 John and Carol Sue were born in Jackson Co., Ky.
In the late 1920's Ed & Sarah moved their large family to Hamilton, Ohio where he worked for Champion Paper Co. Mr.Singleton's three sons all served in the Second World War.
After the death of Sarah's mother and stepfather Lina and Phillip "Pop" Deckard the Singletons moved into the small Deckard farm on Millville-Oxford Rd, Hanover Township, where they lived until their deaths in the 1950's.
