RICHMOND--Burgoyne G. Moores 48 Cochran, Ga., died monday at Cochran. He was a native of Madison County and was a school band director and principal. His wife, Mrs.Virginia Moores, survives. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Moores. Graveside services,3 p.m. Thursday, Richmond Cemetery. The body is at Oldham,Roberts, and Powell Funeral Home here.
Third son of Willis & Ellen Moores.Served with 7th Armored Division as a radio operator in Europe.Married Virginia Ruth Moore and to this marriage was born five children. Burgoyne was a graduate of Eastern Ky State Teachers College and was a band director &principal in Georgia. Died young a victim of heart disease.
