Floyd Grant Williamson was born 9 May 1954 the second child of Allen "Fit" and Betty Williamson. He was brother to Allen, Jr., Diane "Sissy", Leslie Paul, Michael Brent, and John Eric. He was named Floyd after his maternal grandfather and Grant after his paternal grandfather, but everyone called him Bubba. I named my firstborn son, Matthew Grant, after him. He married Sharon Jean Lyons in July 1976 and they had 4 beautiful children.

He was one of the most loving and gentle men I have ever known. Besides being my brother he was my husband's best friend from junior high school. He loved his children, Jeremy Clayton, Jason Christopher, Jenna Leigh, and Joni more than anything in the world.

He loved hunting, fishing, his dogs and was always coaching little league baseball. He had too many friends to count and they all loved him.

He died from a massive heart attack at age 40. He left us much too soon. I miss him every single day. I lost a part of my heart that day. He was only 11 months older than me and I loved him so much.
