My dad was a wonderful dad and grandfather, and is greatly missed by us all. I don't ever remember a time that any of us kids or even the grandkids needed help that he wasn't there for us.
He worked hard all his life, working 26 years for Toledo Edison then Toledo Fleet Pride retiring in 2006.
In his early years he drag raced a 1963 Chevy . In later years he had a 1965 GTO that he took to car shows.
His mother name was Mary A Dysert and father was George L Weatherwax, he had one brother Gary E Weatherwax (1949 - 2007) He married my mom on Nov 17, 1962, they had four children. Dawn, Lester, Kimberly and April.
My Daughter wrote this for my dad:
Its recently been 6 months since my grandpa has been gone i miss him so much:
We thought of you with love today..but that is nothing new! We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence we often speak your name. Now all we have is memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts..hopefully we will meet again someday!! i love you grandpa..forever -n- always Destany Dawn
