Louis Perryman of Austin died on April 2, 2009. He was an explorer, a son, a father and a friend. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Perryman, of Irving, TX. Born in Gainsville, Texas on August 15, 1941 to Elbert Louis Perryman and Lena Estelle Sandel, he worked as a steel worker, served in the US Army, worked as a cameraman, stage and screen actor, writer, and cab driver. His proudest legacy was his key role in "The Whole Shootin' Match," the defining Indy film by Eagle Pennell. He was involved in the Jung Society of Austin and was a large contributor to the local men's movement. Lou enjoyed mythology, poetry, story of any sort, and was most recently deeply investigating the life of Sam Houston.

He was a victim of murder.
