Served in World War I, a Pvt in Company B, 121st Machine Gun Battalion. Inducted into service 12/8/1917, Discharged 6/16/1919. Severely Wounded in action in 1918. Loving husband of Dorothea R. Bergin. Loving father of Dorothy A. Bergin Briody ("Dot") and Regina A. Bergin Bialy ("Timmie"). Died of a heart attack in 1947.

Dave was a very kind man. He would bring Dottie and Timmie to the ice cream parlor all the time, and if he saw a less fortunate child, he would buy the child ice cream.

Worked for NY Life Insurance company.
