Florence entered in the Adrian Dominican Sisterhood in 1909, she took her vows in 1911 changing her name to: Sister Francis Joseph Wright.

She began a long and distinguished teaching career for 55 years;

1922-1938 St. Joseph College, MI

1942-1948 St. Alphonsus, MI (Principal)
1948-1949 St. Adrian Schools, IL (Supervisor)
1950-1962 St. Thomas Aquinas HS, IL

Burial was in the Sisters' Cemetery on the grounds of the Motherhouse.
