Services for Sue LaJune (Kittrell) Cavitt, 64, of Marietta, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in Marietta's First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Higle officiating. Interment will follow in the Burneyville Cemetery, Burneyville, Okla., under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.

Mrs. Cavitt was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of James Daniel and Leatha Mae Busby Kittrell. She passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.

A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Cavitt was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Love County hospital, working also as a respiratory therapist and in patient care. She retired June 1 of this year after 28 years of employment. Her work was her life. Mrs. Cavitt attended Cooke County College, Grayson County College and Murray State College.

She helped with blood drives, most recently assisting the Southern Oklahoma Blood Institute, the local Relay for Life and also helped raise money for EMTs. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and baking. She loved visiting with family and friends. Mrs. Cavitt was a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church.

She and James W. "Lightning" Cavitt were married in Marietta in 1961, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1986. Others preceding her in death were her parents; granddaughter, Tabatha LaJune Churchill; two brothers, Larry D. Kittrell and Clarence Kittrell; and three sisters, Goldie Glidewell, Edith Kittrell and Sylvia Kittrell.

Survivors include two sons, James Edward Cavitt of Norman, Okla., and Daniel Joe Cavitt of Marietta; four daughters, Barbie LaJune Agan of Ardmore, Okla., Sherrie Lytle of Sulphur, Okla., Kimberly Diane Cavitt of McAlester, Okla., and Joletta Sue Harris of Marietta; two brothers, James O. Kittrell of Montague County, Texas, and Herman W. Kittrell of Chico, Texas; four sisters, Bonnie DuBose of Lubbock, Texas, Ruth Robinson of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Carolyn Jean Hogan of Gainesville and Gelema Faye Hembree of Marietta; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Serving as bearers will be Larry James Glidewell, Larry Calvin Kittrell, David Kittrell, Larry Don Kittrell, James Daniel Kittrell and Herman Wiley Kittrell Jr. Honorary bearers will be Dr. J.T. O'Connor, Richard Barker, Ron Kimery, Dr. Stephen Hutchins and the entire staff of Mercy Health Love County.
