John F. Lynn, 10 Tedrick Street, Pittston Township.
Born and reared in Pittston Township, Mr. Lynn was a son of the late John and Mary McHale Lynn. He was a veteran of World War I, serving overseas with the 311th Field Artillery of the 79th Division.
He retired four years ago after being employed as an inspector at the Maxon Plant, Old Forge. Mr. Lynn was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and it's Holy Name Society; Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and John D. Stark Post 542, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Logalia; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel Palenski, Fairfax, VA; two sons, John, Pittston; and Joseph at home; two brothers, William, Pittston Township; James, Philadelphia; also a sister, Mrs. Joseph McFadden, Pittston Township.
Funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 from the home with a requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Internment, parish cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.

The funeral of John F. Lynn of 10 Tedrick Street, Pittston Township, was held this morning at 9 from the home with a solemn requiem high mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Rev. William Wheeler was celebrant; Rev. Thomas Hennigan, deacon; Rev. Joseph Breslin, sub-deacon.
Mary Elizabeth Connors organist and soloist.
Pallbearers were: Robert Redington, Edward Baker, Joseph Delconte, William Tigue, Matthew Tighe, and James Mogavero.
Burial was in the parish cemetery, with Rev. Father Wheeler offering the final benediction at the graveside.
